HISTORY

Previously: IMSS

Our mission is dedicated to:

  • 1) promoting the development and application of mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) in all applicable venues including academia, government, and industry,
  • 2) enhancing the MSI community by disseminating best practices and acceptance criteria around the MSI methodology,
  • 3) providing continual MSI educational opportunities, and
  • 4) collaborating with other societies that have similar or related goals.

With the creation of the International Mass Spectrometry Imaging Society (IMSIS) in December 2023, IMSS became a full member of  IMSIS as Region Americas.

The Imaging Mass Spectrometry Society (IMSS or IMS²) is a non-profit organization (501c) found in 2017.
